Grab the castanets and put a rose in your hair because Spain’s beloved tradition of flamenco has arrived in the city. The Flamenco and Beyond Festival presents three of Spain’s most captivating performers, including Muchachito Bombo Infierno, the rumba rock trio from Barcelona, who stop off here on their way to South by Southwest; the nine-member Madrid-based fusion folk group Canteca De Macao; and singer-dancer La Shica, who will be making her U.S. debut. La Shica, who has more than a touch of Björk’s eccentricity, combines Spanish dance with her seductive singing voice. She also recently won two Premios de la Música awards (Spain’s version of the Grammys) for Best New Artist and Best New Songwriter in 2011. ¡Olé!
