This is your outrageously outdated health-class sex-ed video. This is your late-night infomercial, evangelical propaganda, and spandex-saturated workout routine. This is your country on cassette. Tonight, curators Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher will launch the inaugural VCR Party, a new monthly showcase in which treasures like these and other VHS oddities from the long-touring Found Footage Festival will take to the big screen. Comedians Leo Allen, Craig Baldo, Jason Trachtenburg, and Derrick Beckles will provide commentary on garage-sale and thrift-store gems that Pickett and Prueher have been accumulating since 2004. However, the inherent hilarity of some of the collection's features, such as an instructional video about masturbation and a woman whose obsession with crafting borders on insane, might just steal the spotlight. This is not your average home video...we hope.
