Delightfully (if somewhat optimistically) described by their American record label as “the ultimate French electro-rock superhero diode,” Bordeaux’s boy-girl Magnetix come on like the Cramps after a cut-rate appliance upgrade on last year’s Drogue Électrique, which climaxes with a dirty little ditty entitled “I Drink (But My Guitar Doesn’t).” Tonight, they bring the noise to 285 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, where they’ll share the bill with Xray Eyeballs, local fuzz-pop ladies with a new record, Splendor Squalor, just out on Brooklyn’s Kanine Records. Both bands play Cake Shop on March 29 as well.
