Get in the dugout with Chad Harbach

Just in time for Yankees opening day, Chad Harbach, author of The Art of Fielding, a terrific book that centers on the players of a winning college-baseball team, will be at KGB Bar tonight for a reading. As you might recall, Harbach, a founding editor of n+1, received a hefty $650,000 advance for his first novel. How did he do it? Well, it wasn't easy. You could check out the Kindle Single by Keith Gessen, an extended version of his Vanity Fair article, titled How a Book Is Born: The Making of the Art of Fielding (a compelling read for those not privy to the totally subjective art of book publishing), or ask the author yourself at this event, presented by NYU’s graduate creative-writing program.
