More About

When you hear the words “puppet fest,” you might automatically think Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. But at the 14th annual Labapalooza, St. Ann’s Warehouse’s experimental haven for artists developing interdisciplinary projects for puppet and object theater, you certainly won’t find them here. What you will find is a program of diverse new puppetry works, ranging from a punk-rock fable starring three ruthless drag queens to an adaptation of the feminist classic The Yellow Wallpaper (playing tonight) by Elizabeth Ostler. Tonight’s program also includes The Radium Play by Emma Wiseman, Event Erasers by Adam Shecter, and Mental Hygiene by Lindsay Abromaitis-Smith.
Thu., May 31, 8 p.m.; Fri., June 1, 8 p.m.; Sat., June 2, 8 p.m.; Sun., June 3, 2012
