The Fourth of July is a day to spend with family and close friends, reminiscing and barbecuing and honoring the Puritanical spirit of our forefathers. Which is why, on the third of July, you have to get over to the Bell House, where Wasabassco Burlesque is taking it all off for America: F*ck Yeah!, an evening to revel in barbecue, beer, and boobs. Evelyn Vinyl, Hazel Honeysuckle, Sapphire Jones, Peekaboo Pointe, and Mala Morrigan are just some of the lovelies gracing the stage. And to prove the U.S. of A. is still as super as ever, admission is free if you come dressed as—who else?—Wonder Woman. Burlesque, comfort food, special cocktails, and superheros: Now that’s the American spirit we can get behind.
