Tonight, singer-songwriter M. Ward teams with Hoboken's finest indie-rock trio, Yo La Tengo, to raise money for Celebrate Brooklyn's free concerts. Earlier this year, indie-folk artist Ward released his seventh studio album, A Wasteland Companion, which contains more of the signature breezy and engaging songs that have beguiled the likes of Zooey Deschanel, Lucinda Williams, and other collaborators in years past. And Yo La Tengo may not have put out a new LP since 2009, but who needs new jams when you have a band that can cover Cat Stevens and Daniel Johnston without even blinking?
