As tough as their namesake material, Tyvek emit a particularly nasty brand of garage rock with vocals that sound as though the singer just swallowed some sand with a sore throat. Musically, they smash cymbals and crank their amps into the red as they approximate what the 2012 apocalypse might sound like. The confines of the tiny, 250-person capacity Mercury Lounge will make for a great setting for their usual nervous breakdown.
