Having devoted shows to Star Wars, Batman, and Firefly, the nerdy Epic Win Burlesque now invites adventurers and sky pirates of all stripes to Clocktease, a steampunk burlesque show at the Nuyorican Poets Café. Promising “a steam-powered scientific exhibition of professional ecdysiasts” with mad science and corset engineering aplenty, six dancers (among them Hazel Honeysuckle, Kobayashi Maru, and Minnie de Moocha) provide a little bump ’n’ grind for the gears-’n’-goggles set. Professor Nelson Lugo emcees and presents his Blade Box o’ Death, an infernal contraption that audience members are invited to examine before a lovely tassel twirler risks all to step inside!
