The driving forces behind dreamy world-beat artists Dead Can Dance—Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry—re-reunited last year for the second time since their 1998 split. This time, they've actually recorded a new record (their first in 16 years) titled Anastasis and it sounds like they haven't missed a step. Gilded with plinky, exotic sounds, lush strings and of course, Gerrard's haunting alto, the album's carefully textured songs might just keep them together this time.
