More About

Hoarding will receive a chic makeover at MOMA when New York–based artist Martha Rosler examines the American ritual of selling crap in her exhibition “Meta-Monumental Garage Sale”—and she needs your vintage goods in order to pull off this massive construction. Rosler’s large-scale installation (which will open November 17) invites visitors to browse and buy secondhand items, many of which will be donated by you at tonight’s Pop Rally: Meta-Monumental Pre-Game. After bidding adieu to your coveted knickknacks, enjoy an evening of drinks, garage-inspired games, and a musical performance by the Postelles and DJ Diggy Lloyd. Also, in honor of tonight’s Fashion’s Night Out, you’ll also have access to a special screening of Rosler’s Martha Rosler Reads Vogue (1983).
Thu., Sept. 6, 8 p.m., 2012
