Although Wild Nothing began as a lo-fi dream-pop bedroom experiment for main man Jack Tatum, the singer-songwriter collaborated with a producer for new album Nocturne and together they created a densely textured sound that has a little more drama to it. He’s dreamt up some sort of connection between the creative process and the lunar cycle (or maybe just insomnia), but no matter what the excuse is, we win here because he has somehow felt inspired to write more songs with dance floor-friendly beats to punch up his new-wavey tendencies. With Braids, Weekend and Forma.
