More About

One only has to look at the Louis Vuitton collection for spring, which was full of beehives, black-and-white checks, and minidresses, to see that the ’60s are back (do we ever really get tired of that decade?). However, you don’t need to be able to afford Vuitton to look in-style. Instead, head to the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show, where they’re paying homage to one of the most stylish streets of all time: the swinging Carnaby Street in London. This carefully curated shopping event will feature rare pieces from Mary Quant (the designer behind the rise of the miniskirt), Ossie Clark, Biba, and John Stephen, as well as boutique labels, such as Granny Takes a Trip, Irving Sellers, John Marks, and Chelsea Girl. Not sure how to put all those retro pieces together? Stop by its exhibition London Swings: From Carnaby Street to Kings Road 1964–1974 for ideas. Groovy, baby!
Fri., Oct. 12, 1 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 13, 1 p.m., 2012
