More About

Most of us try to avoid bad theater whenever possible, but the Bad Theater Fest hopes to be the exception to the rule. Serving up six nights of raunchy, tasteless, awkward performances for the stage and screen, the festival kicks off with five short works, including Two Noble Midsummer Nightsmen, which combines Shakespeare with Chaucer’s The Knight’s Tale and sets it all in Athens—because why not? Other highlights (or should we say lowlights?) include the sock-puppet play Lone Starr of Texas, a piece about male erotic dancers appropriately titled Cock Stars, and 32, which follows one 32-year-old woman’s quest to become the fattest lady in the world. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Mondays-Wednesdays, 8 p.m.; Mondays-Wednesdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Oct. 22. Continues through Oct. 31, 2012
