RUN, FORREST, RUN!

Because every athlete
needs a cheerleader

Let’s face it, we are never going to run in the ING New York City Marathon because we’re too lazy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get a cozy spot on the course and cheer for the thousands of runners made of steel. Here are some cool places to applaud them: 9
The runners will be passing through on Brooklyn’s Bedford Avenue, which is a perfect spot to grab some brunch along hipster central and cheer them on. 9
Anywhere on First Avenue, on the Upper East Side, is great because there are loads of people at bars applauding the runners—meaning you can get your drink on, too! 9
We’ve heard that 138th Street (mile 20) in the Bronx is the spot where runners are most tired and need the most support because the crowds are smaller. 9
Instead of cheering them at the finish line, head over to Fifth Avenue at Central Park South. Your motivation here can help the runners score a better time! First wave begins at 9:40 a.m.
