More About

Who says you’re too old to join the kids on the playground? Certainly not artist Ann Hamilton. Taking inspiration from her own childhood memories, Hamilton has created the Event of a Thread, a field of swings connected to a massive white sheet (her interpretation of the sky) that will move depending on how how fast or slow everyone is swinging. For a Lynchian twist to this playland, there will be readers addressing caged pigeons and a lone writer responding to the “weather of the room” on paper. The best time of day to go might be around 6:30, when a singer will serenade the birds as they are released into the room. (Don’t worry, they’re trained.)
Mondays-Sundays, 11 a.m. Starts: Dec. 7. Continues through Jan. 6, 2012
