'EXPO 1' Imagines the End Times--And Does Nothing to Stop Them
NYU and the Destruction of New York
Like A ProJump right into the New Year by celebrating the new issue of New York-based literary magazine n+1 at McNally Jackson on January 3. Issue number 15, titled "Amnesty," contains essays that range from arguing the similarities of the Internet and women, to pondering the challenges of quitting smoking, to psychoanalyzing politics. Featured writers include Benjamin Kunkel, Mikhail Shishkin, and Hannah Tennant-Moore. If you've only recently discovered n+1 and are looking for previous, out-of-print issues, they will be on sale. Wine will be provided, too, so we guess it'll be n+alcohol this night.
