BLOW YOUR HEAD

Why not start new year’s now?

Since providing the drums for Major Lazer’s 2009 breakthrough, “Pon de Floor,” Afrojack has gone Billboard, reaching the top of the charts around the world with tracks like David Guetta’s “Titanium,” his own “Take Over Control,” and Pitbull’s 2011 New Year’s Eve anthem “Give Me Everything.” Meanwhile, Diplo—Major Lazer’s remaining original member—has followed a similar arc, moving from his club and baile funk roots to the dense, steamy r&b of Usher’s “Climax” and the Grammy-nominated dubstep of Alex Clare. Tonight, they join forces at Pier 94, where they’ll be joined by Britain’s Rusko.
