More About

It’s all Chinese to us. And Australian, Belarusian, Hungarian, Japanese, Iranian, and yes, a little American, too. This year’s Under the Radar Festival at the Public Theater, a cavalcade of experimental performance curated by Mark Russell, takes a global approach to the latest in theater, dance, and live art. Among the offerings are C’est du Chinois, an 85-minute piece by Hungarian and Dutch artists performed entirely in Mandarin, and Hamlet, Prince of Grief, a 30-minute version of the tragedy staged in Farsi and using household objects. And lest we forget the local, home team favorites, the Debate Society, Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Taylor Mac, and Elevator Repair Service should all do New York City proud.
Mondays-Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: Jan. 10. Continues through Jan. 20, 2013
