Typically, the post-holiday slowdown leaves most of us feeling glum rather than angry. Not so writer and Broadway vet (Spamalot, Cabaret, Titanic) Martin Moran. In his 2004 Obie-winning show, The Tricky Part, Moran delivered an empathetic account of the sexual abuse he suffered as an adolescent at the hands of an older man. In his new solo play, All the Rage, in which he re-teams with director Seth Barrish, Moran trades the merciful tone of that earlier script for a less benevolent one. In this show, at the Peter Jay Sharp, Moran examines his own fury, as well as that of others, exploring, “How is it that one moment we might reach out in compassion and the next . . . kill?”
