More About

Looking for the perfect piece of art to fill that long-empty wall space that’s been driving you crazy? Beginning with the ADAA Art Show today (gala preview on Tuesday), a succession of art fairs will be held throughout the weekend, attracting art dealers and collectors from around the world. Tonight also marks the kickoff of the renowned Armory Show, with a special Armory Party to benefit MOMA and MOMA PS1. Tickets to the event guarantee guests the first shot at previewing the show in the afternoon, followed by a party with Solange at MOMA. Thursday marks the official opening of the Armory Show (on Piers 92 and 94), which is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 1913 Armory Show, along with offshoot art fairs Volta NY (voltashow.com) and Independent (independentnewyork.com). If you still have some energy left by Friday, head to the opening of the alternative Fountain Art Fair (fountainartfair.com) for works from a mix of emerging artists, as well as veterans such as Kiki Smith.
