WHERE BROOKLYN AT?

Follow the ferry to find out

The more things change, the more people’s facial hair stays the same—such is the legacy of Walt Whitman, the bearded Brooklyn poet whose “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” gives this three-day festival its name. Honoring—and of course, monetizing—Whitman’s legacy, said festival brings together some of the most talented artists of our day. Tonight, New York transplants the Roots headline over Olga Bell and Bed-Stuy newcomers Parquet Courts. Spring for the $100 weekend pass to catch performances by TV on the Radio, Solange (Carroll Gardens!), Eleanor Friedberger, Dan Friel, and more. Trim—or don’t trim—your facial hair accordingly.
