Do Other Colleges Do That Too?If you were a young woman in the early ’90s, chances are the riot grrrl movement, with its zines, gatherings, and outspoken heroes (such as Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill), changed your life. Thanks to Lisa Darms, the senior archivist at the Fales Library and Special Collections at NYU, many of those original zines, posters, and ephemera have been gathered together, and now she’s turned it into a book, The Riot Grrrl Collection (Feminist Press). Tonight, hear from Darms as well as contributors Ramdasha Bikceem (GUNK), Johanna Fateman (Le Tigre), and Hanna.
