During the steamy days of summer, the last thing we want to do is turn on the oven to cook anything. But what’s a New Yorker to do when the craving for a homemade sweet comes along? You could head to the local bakery, or you could save some money and make a no-bake dessert at home.

of No Bake Makery, a sweets business she launched in her Brooklyn apartment, teaches a cooking class tonight on how to make everything from two-bite truffles to mini key lime pies. Students will also get a free copy of her recent cookbook, No Bake Makery: More Than 80 Two-Bite Treats Made With Lovin’, Not an Oven.
