Nora York

She’s uproariously funny, passionately intelligent, and intelligently passionate. Whatever she sets her mind to comes out smart as whips and as high-mindedly racy as whippets. This time around, in collaboration with the Marfa Dialogue NY symposium, she’s constructed a piece on climate change around Handel’s “Water Music Suites.” It’s called “Water Water Everywhere/Nay Any Drop to Drink,” which indicates she’s also lifting pertinent sentiments from Coleridge’s “Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” Sounds dry? Don’t be silly. By definition, anything on water can’t be.
