Organized by Slate's senior culture editor Dan Kois, SCARYOKE!!! is an inquiry into the joy and terror of singing in public. For six weeks, New Yorkers are invited anytime they choose: on a Saturday night, on a lunch break, or after a morning jog. "It's an experiment, encouraging visitors to explore the outer boundaries of their own performative instincts and capacity for risk-taking."
Wed., Nov. 6, 8 p.m.; Thursdays, 3 p.m.; Fridays, 1 p.m.; Tuesdays, Saturdays, 11 a.m.; Wednesdays, noon. Starts: Nov. 6. Continues through Dec. 21, 2013
