LONG OVERDUE

Catch Isa Genzken at MOMA

Inside MOMA, you may think a tornado has just ripped through the space, leaving behind relics of someone’s life — opened suitcases, knocked-over umbrellas, and destroyed tennis shoes. However, the mess is no accident: It’s a part of the first major retrospective in the U.S. by influential German artist Isa Genzken. In her largest show to date, the exhibit features about 150 objects that span her 30-year career, including her massive installation pieces as well as paintings, photographs, collages, drawings, artist’s books, films, and public sculptures, some of which are making their U.S. debut.
Mondays-Sundays, 10 a.m. Starts: Nov. 23. Continues through Dec. 31, 2013
