Though American audiences may know her best from movies such as Iron Man 3 and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe), Rebecca Hall, daughter of Royal Shakespeare Company founder Peter Hall, has theater in her blood. So, it’s about time she make her Broadway debut. Hall stars in Machinal, journalist Sophie Treadwell’s 1928 play inspired by the true story of Ruth Snyder, a New York woman who was found guilty of murdering her husband and died in the electric chair. British director Lyndsey Turner stages the Roundabout Theatre Company production.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: Dec. 27. Continues through March 2, 2013
