THE FAME GAME

Celebrity tell-alls get
the readings they deserve

It’s a good thing not every celebrity can write about his or her own life as eloquently as Patti Smith. Otherwise there wouldn’t be much to laugh about at Celebrity Autobiography, the very funny long-running show in which actors and comedians read from some of the most cringe-worthy tell-alls. Past readings have included excerpts from books by Miley Cyrus (“I think a lot about my hands”), Tommy Lee (“I want to show you how my memories smell”), and the guys of NSYNC. Tonight’s lineup of readers includes Matthew Broderick, Debbie Harry, Sherri Shepherd, Mario Cantone, Rachel Dratch, and Alan Zweibel.
