Now that he’s done playing family man and feared drug lord Walter White on Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston is taking on another steely, powerful figure unafraid to use threats and intimidation to get his way: Lyndon B. Johnson. “Bryan has the two things you want in the actor who plays LBJ,” All the Way’s playwright Robert Schenkkan told the New York Times. “He’s incredibly charismatic and charming and funny. And he’s also terrifying.” The story focuses on Johnson’s fight to pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act, with major players of the day Martin Luther King Jr., Stokely Carmichael, and J. Edgar Hoover all making appearances. Bill Rauch directs the cast of 20.
Tuesdays, Thursdays, 7 p.m.; Wednesdays, Saturdays, 2 p.m.; Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m. Starts: Feb. 11. Continues through June 29, 2014
