A cry went up from the city’s nightlife-lovers when the original, Midtown East Scores shuttered its doors. The soul of the institution was transplanted to a two-floor club in Chelsea, formerly Scores West, which has now been renovated into a low key, neon-heavy, tourist-friendly club. Besides the name, and the frequent mentions on Howard Stern, there’s not much to distinguish Scores from any other club in the area. Oh, wait! They have a humidor, so the patrons can enjoy a cigar along with their lap dance.
