It may be a bit out of the way, but Spa Castle makes up for its location in remote Queens by being absolutely massive. Four floors of baths, whirlpools and steam rooms are topped by a rooftop pool, where visitors can take in a charming view of nearby Flushing Meadows Park and Citi Field. (Spa Castle may be a perfect place for Met fans to deposit their girlfriends during a game!) For the facilities, admission is cheap—$35 during the week, $45 during the weekend—but outside food is not allowed, forcing spa-goers to eat at the sub-par cafeteria. Children run rampant in some of the sections, especially the pool, which can send a pleasant spa-day down the drains.
