Best place to lift your spirits in a hurry (2008)

Maybe you work long hours at a job that doesn't pay much, and maybe you often ask yourself, as the great Morrissey once did, "Why do I give valuable time to people who don't care if I live or die?" Well, because your rent's not going to pay itself, and you're band is probably not going to get signed anytime soon, that's why. But luckily, there's Clem's, where after a few quick rounds of the house special—an ice-cold can of Tecate and a shot of Sauza tequila ($5)—heaven knows you're miserable no more. The bartenders here are friendly, as chatty as you want them to be, and seem to have the ability to read your mind with their music selection— everything from Ozzy's "Crazy Train" to Pavement's "You're Killing Me." And when you tell them you're thinking about calling in sick to work the next day, they never think it's a bad idea.
