Best deadly dosas (2008)
My favorite vegetarian cuisine is southern India's, and there's no better place to dig it than Newark Avenue, just north of Journal Square, where a dozen places make the stuffed crepes called dosas. Best so far are found at Sri Ganesh's Dosa House, which is a little like calling a hot-dog place Jesus' Weenie Hut. There are over 50 dosa choices, instead of the three or four usually offered, including innovative new-world versions that include Velveeta, and regional variations like pesarattu, Bangalore ghee masala dosa, and Pondicherry (France's former Indian colony) plain dosa.
