Best New Restaurant Chef (2008)


Anita Lo dips into a bag of tricks that includes Asian and Mediterranean elements at Annisa to create a menu full of theatrical surprises, the best of which is a pig-feet-stuffed chicken that actually tastes like something. Dramatic elements include quivering rabbit kidneys the size of kidney beans, and truffle sauce that does an impersonation of black bean sauce. The dining room makes you feel like you're sitting on a cloud.
