She's best seen at night reading by the window, using her bright neon beer signs as light. LUCY, the owner of Lucy's, is like a grandmother serving cough medicine. Her bar has two pool tables, breathing room, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan together on the juke box, and her soft, Polish charm (coupled with her Marilyn Monroe-like mole and her curly, dirty-brown, broccoli hair) can easily turn one whiskey into three. "She looks like a cabbage patch doll," says one patron. Confide to Lucy—or her hottie blond granddaughter—and tell her your troubles. She'll smile. "On me, deary," she says. "No problem."
