Best Brand-Name Sneakers for Pennies (2008)

You could pass right by this Delancey Street shop with the neon Timberland signs in the window, and never know that in RICHIES basement lies the mother lode of dirt-cheap sneaks. Flip-tongued Pumas and chunky Basics running shoes vie for shelf space with all manner of Nikes, and white and green Jimmy Connors-era Adidas. Corporate logos and swooshes are where they should be, but much of the shoes' inside writing is in German. Buy two pair for a measly $55, and pretend you spent the money you saved hanging out in the Alexanderplatz.
