Best flea market in Brooklyn (2008)

P.S. 321

For years now, all year round, P.S. 321 gets transformed every Saturday and Sunday into a thriving flea market for knickknacks, antiques, and furniture—good, cheap furniture, even (this writer found a killer wood dresser in near-perfect condition for a measly $60)—as well as loads of coffee and end tables, bookshelves, and magazine racks (and even the occasional bed). Not to mention the usual wild and weird bric-a-brac found in flea land: WWII memorabilia, old records, ragtag electronics, bikes, gym equipment, jewelry, artwork, clothing (lots of clothing), housewares . . . It may not be nearly as big or eclectic as the cherished Chelsea market or even some that take place further out in Brooklyn, but the Seventh Avenue fair consistently has some of the best prices and items around.
