Promising there'd be loads of cute English guys, an expat friend once dragged me to Nevada Smith's to catch the Arsenal vs. Manchester Utd match—at 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning! It might've been worse: Thanks to the time difference, some games start as early as 6 a.m. No matter what the hour, faithful punters queue up to get in, since it's one of the few bars in the city to carry satellite coverage of FA and European footie action (plus it's the only one Downtown, thus drawing a youthful crowd). And yes, the lads really do drink lager at 6 in the morning, which helps if you're trying to chat one of them up.
