Mary Boone is so sure of her own trendy magnetism, she doesn't even offer wine to coax crowds to her gallery uptown. And she doesn't need to. Since the 1980s, when Boone's Soho gallery represented art stars like Eric Fischl and Julian Schnabel, her openings have been hot on the social and celebrity circuit.
