The city's most decrepit restaurant is also the best place to get a bacon cheeseburger at 4:35 in the morning. City Deli—open seven days, 24 hours—is really just a lean-to slouching against an adjacent building, with the kitchen and counter seats crammed into a narrow sliver of space. The chow's good and cheap, and includes some off-menu items like beef tacos heaped with salsa verde. There's also an amazing wall o' chips directly below a dingy oil painting of the neigh- borhood that belongs in the Louvre.
