Valedictory Vietnamese New York 2000 - Cong Ly
I'm a sucker for great working-class places, and am willing to ignore their foibles. At Cong Ly, much of the cabby clientele chain-smokes during their repast, but the food is so good, I'm willing to hold my nose. I'd walk miles for their Vietnamese crepe, which comes wrapped in rice noodle rather than the thin omelet you get in most places. The pho is also way above average.
