Though blessed only with Single A talents, we get a major-league thrill from the BATTING CAGES AT THE ASTORIA SPORTS COMPLEX. Twenty-five bucks and an obligatory helmet grant you an hour to slug away (swish! swish!) at anything from fat, ambling softballs to trim and deadly fastballs. We swear on a pile of batting gloves that nothing in this world beats swatting the ball back into the machine itself: bang!
