Ja Lounge
According to its business cards, JA LOUNGE is "the lounge that house built." And true to its slogan, a recent weekend night found resident DJ Jon Ferrari—the poor man's Danny Tenaglia—dishing up pounding tribal, trance, and deep varieties. With its glass porch and linoleum feel, Ja Lounge is more like Mel's Diner with a nightly Twilo makeover. Fortunately, the excellent house music draws the usual unpretentious mix.
