Best Entertainer for an Impromptu Bachelorette Party New York 2001 - The Naked Cowboy
With just a guitar, a 10-gallon hat, boots, and a pair of briefs, THE NAKED COWBOY croons and struts his way into the hearts of repressed suburban ladies (and gents?) touring Times Square. John Robert Burck's act seems more blues-rock than his country aspirations, but that may be because of the long blond hair that flows lusciously over his bulging muscular physique. The gig is only part of his larger plan to become "the most celebrated entertainer of all time," as he phrases it in the self-authored Legend of the Naked Cowboy. Burck has posted the tome on his Web site, where he also offers merchandise and a comic strip he draws himselffeaturing, of course, himself.
