Via Brasil

One of the first restaurants of Little Brazil, VIA BRASIL still keeps folks coming back, despite its glitzy refurbishment a few years ago. They return for the warm welcome and for food like the big-enough-for-two portion of feijoada, which is available every day. The cauldron of meat and beans, the fluffy rice, the orange segments, and the well-cut couve, or kale, are enough to make a Carioca out of everyone. Add a Brahma or two and soon you'll be thinking that the dowager at the next table is the girl from Ipanema.
