The Hudson River's PIER 25 is like a little piece of Malibu—there's a miniature-golf course, a trio of beach-volleyball nets with tons of real sand, and a wooden shack dispensing lemonade and charcoal-grilled burgers. Best of all, though, is the elevated structure at the end of the pier, which served as a second tier for a driving range several years ago. Now abandoned, it's open every day and late into the evening for lounging in Adirondack chairs and watching the river traffic pass by. Between Hubert and North Moore streets.
