CENTRAL PARK'S NORTHEAST CORNER is a little piece of heaven. If you're tripping, that is. Sitting high on the grassy, needle-strewn hill, you can watch light glint off the ripples in the pond below, and . . . well, one time when a buddy and I were there, this homeless dude who had a dog tried to get these adult ducks to stop attacking this baby duck. (We thought they were having sex with it at first.) "Get away from him, you fuckers!" the dude yelled, throwing sticks and rocks at the bad ducks. Then my friend threw up and we wandered off, getting lost in the woods.
