A mysterious commune owns the three EVERYTHING GOES shops on the Staten Island waterfront, located a five-minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry. They cook huge, wonderful meals together and communicate by walkie-talkie. The plunder at their stores is well worth the slow boat ride. Well-made vintage skirts and sweaters as cheap as 50 cents at one store. Smurfs, record players, and scads of Cleopatra necklaces at the original store.
