Over the past seven years, through Summer Stage's "Viva Verdi" festival, conductor VINCENT LA SELVA has led the New York Grand Opera in all 28 of Verdi's magnificent creations. The staging may have been less than the Met's hefty productions, one of few opera options, but so was the price tag: free. And Aida, Otello, and Falstaff proved the conductor, composer, and company good to the last drop.
